When you’re prospecting new clients, the key is getting noticed. You need “top of mind” positioning with the client. They get deluged with letters, brochures, emails and phone calls every day. So unless you use creative means, your fighting an uphill battle.
One strategy that works well is sending small gifts that are related to your marketing message. They don’t need to be expensive; just small token items that make your message stand out.
Reading Chet Holmes book, The Ultimate Sales Machine, I came across the idea for using a small Rubik’s Cube, with a note attached that reads “Puzzled about How to Double or Triple Employee Productivity?”.
