Record Your Next Book with This Service

by Jonathan on May 29, 2009

I don’t give a lot of ringing endorsements on this blog, but every now and then, a product or service catches my eye and I have to talk about it. After all, I believe if someone is remarkable, then they deserve a shout out.

I just sent my editor the last remaining part of my book, and my shoulders now  feel a little lighter. The last section was an interview I did back in April. I sent the Mp3 file of that interview to WeScribeIt.com, a service I’d never used before. I was a little reluctant at first since their pricing is a little higher than other services out there, but she came recommended from a friend, David Dutton. Not only that,  there’s an all too familiar saying that goes  “You always Get What You Pay For” (sounds like a good title to a bad song).

The result- A excellent job done and fast. I had the transcribed file ready to be downloaded the very next day.Not only that, but the transcribed document I got back was almost completely accurate and that’s tough job sometimes when you factor in dialects, background noise and overall recording quality.

So, if you’re looking for a transcription service, contact Melody at WeScribeIt.com. They’re quick, accurate and if you order at least $50 worth of transcription witin the first month they send you a free Olympus digital recorder. Cool Stuff.

By the way, let me encourage anyone who is thinking about writing a book, to use this method. If you hate the idea of sitting down in front of a computer for hours, then speak some of the book onto a digital recorder. This is how I plan on doing much of my next book. Once you have it transcribed, you can clean it up or at least hire an editor to do so.
